Online Group Therapy


In 2010, after becoming certified in Distance Counseling, Dr. Trotzky developed a secure and encrypted treatment and support service for the internet and founded Online Group Therapy, LLC.  Dr. Trotzky, an internationally known Telemental Health, treatment specialist is directing a project to offer online therapeutic services for recovering addicts for the Israel Anti-Drug Authority in Jerusalem. He has also set up and is conducting the Online Continuing Care Program for Hope Homes Recovery in the Southern United States and provides supervision for the counseling staff conducting an online chat for youth in distress under the auspices of the Jerusalem Municipality. Dr. Trotzky continues to educate treatment professionals about, and to advocate for, the advantages of providing online psychotherapy and support via the internet.


In 2005, Dr.Trotzky accepted a position in the Impaired Professionals’ Program at Ridgeview Institute in Atlanta, Georgia where he served as case manager and therapist.  Dr. Trotzky opened a private practice and continued to present at professional conferences the latest developments in the field. During this period, Dr. Trotzky pioneered work in online therapy and developed a web-based support network for psychotherapy.


From 1978 to 2002, Dr. Trotzky was a  Senior Staff Therapist at The Child and Family Clinic of the Kibbutz Movement at Seminar Oranim, Kiryat Tivon providing therapy for children, adolescents and families and the supervision and training of child-care workers. Taught courses in Psychology at Seminar Oranim and in the academic department of the University of Haifa at that same institution. Counselor at the Psychological Counseling Center at Haifa University and supervisor of social workers at the masters' level.


Mental Health Officer in the Medical Corps of the Israel Defense Force (reserve) in a mobile unit for the treatment of combat reaction and trauma (PTSD) for fourteen years.


Contract with Israel Ministry of Defense for treating victims of terrorist attacks.


Founded The Israel Counseling and Treatment Center of the North, a private clinic which provided: ambulatory services for drug, alcohol, food, gambling, work, sex and relationship addictions; codependency, family and individual counseling, legal assistance, diagnosis and referral to primary care facilities in Israel and abroad. The eating disorders' addiction treatment program became the largest and most successful ambulatory facility in Israel.


Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia (LPC #004678) and by the Israeli Government's Anti-Drug Authority to be Director of a licensed treatment facility and by the Israel Ministry of Social Services as Coordinator of Supervision.


Clinical Director at "Gesher L'Chaim", Israel's first, twelve-step treatment facility for drug addiction and instrumental in the development of "HaDerech", the recovery center at Kibbutz Gesher Haziv where he served as the first Clinical Director.


B.A. in Psychology from New York University.  M.A. in Counseling and Psychology from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. and a  Ph.D. in Counseling and Psychology from Oregon State University. Post-doctoral work in addiction treatment from Mercer University and Charter Medical.
